Main luggage pack
- Please keep weight under 20kg as these will be shifted by porters during your tour
Day pack
- If your pack doesn't already have a waterproof cover you can purchase these from an outdoor adventure store - "rainforests" have been given that name for a reason!
Shoes
- Because foot care is so essential to having a good experience on your tour, please wear your shoes in beforehand.
- Choose shoes with a flexible sole, and good grip.
- Don't forget it's called a rainforest for a reason! Choose easy drying, non-leather shoes.
- Pack some bandaids and blister protection (e.g. Compeed)
Clothing
- Trekking and caving gear – lightweight and easy drying
- Loose breathable pants and long-sleeve shirt for evenings
- Fast-drying underwear
- Lightweight sweater
- A smart casual outfit for dining out, bars in Kuching, etc
Note: Expectations in Borneo dictate no nudity in public or topless sunbaking. Men, keep shirts on unless you're by the pool or a waterfall. Women, don't bother packing your mini-skirts and boob tubes.
